Ford Brochures (1986)

1986 saw some changes to the Fiesta range, the 1300CVH engine was dropped from Fords line up and replaced with the new lean-burn 1400 version. The three special edition Fiestas released in this year were the Finesse II (February), the Holiday (June) and the Firefly (also June). This year also spelled the end of manufacture entirely for the Ford Capri and was the last year in which the Mk1 Sierra was produced.

Predicting the decline of 4-star fuel in favour of unleaded, 1986 was also the year where Ford started to produce CVH engines with hardened valve seats, capable of withstanding the new fuel.
