Ford Fiesta Mk2 Holiday (1986-1989)
The Fiesta Holiday was released in June 1986 along with the Firefly. Launched as a limited edition base spec model, 4000 cars were manufactured.
The cars are identifiable by a coloured stripe placed just above the Popular Plus style full length side moulding and a distinctive 'Holiday' sticker on the bootlid. The UK Vehicle was powered by the 1.1 OHV and came with the (usually optional) 5 speed gearbox as standard. The car was kitted out with a low spec dash and pain doorcards without cloth inserts as fitted to the Popular model. The seats had headrests but we finished in shadow trim, a utilitarian style cloth with grey vinyl seat rears, and solid headrests with hollow centres.
Ford also used the Holiday name for a limited run of European Mk4 Escorts.
