Stuart says: D555 EYX appeared via an email I received from a chap called Aaron in January 2005.The car seems to be yet another genuine Fly conversion done by F.English. It has all their conversion features. Unlike the other mk2 Flys found to date this car is based on a genuine Fiesta XR2. The car has only done 36000 miles but when Aaron bought the car for just £400 the paintwork was rough so it got a respray in the original rosso red. He also had the engine tuned and it's now producing 91 bhp. This car's engine bay shows that it is fitted with the carburettor and airbox from the early mk2 XR (upto C reg). But the car is 19 years old so despite the low mileage it may have been added as a performance upgrade, as the earlier set up is more tuneable than the later lean burn carb. The seats fitted to this car are the early spec Rainbow (black striped) trim. D reg onward cars were revised and fitted with a blue striped Monacco trim.
