The annual major Ford show was held (as usual) at Silverstone race circuit near Towcester, Northants. This show usually gets its fair share of sunny weather and the open space with little shade means most visitors go home with a tan. We managed to grab a few photos inbetween rooting through the autojumble and ordering shiny bits we probably didnt really need at the many trade stands. We came back from the show with a pair of Mk2 outer wings, a stack of 1980's brochures, a pair of chromed strut tops, sill guards and some Autoglym cleaning products.

Several of the more respected Fiestas were on display, mainly with the FordSport owners club, including Roll's and Sev's XR2 Turbos and Phils Black Mk1 XR2.

Other Fords

Highlights amongst the other Ford models included both a Ford GT40 and GT70 and a martini liveried Escos. This was the first year that the infamous rows of same colour Ford Focus RS models appeared after their release in the previous October. Ford were showing off their brand new for 2003, SportKa and Streetka convertible models, which give a much sportier look to the brand.

Some of the more outrageous styling on display such as the 'MAD KA' may not be to everyones taste but it shows a lot of hard work and ingenuity, the 'Max Power' styling is still popular among many, particularly younger drivers.
