The millionth fiesta we had was purchased from Ford in Cardiff in 1979, in August.
My Dad had a tow bar fitted and it used to pull our trailer. It always had brown furry seat covers fitted whilst we had it on the front 2 seats to protect them. I remember when it was sold the seat covers were taken off and the seat fabric was as new.
The car stayed with us until 1987 when it was sold privately, as it had developed a habit of not wanting to start on cold mornings. We lived in Sevenoaks, Kent by then and Stormont Ford couldn’t cure it. The Fiesta was sold to a local woman I think from memory.
It was spotless when it was sold, and had full Ford service history. It had a sunroof, and an original Ford stereo radio cassette player which sat in the centre console.
