Mk1 Ford Fiesta Festival (September 1980)
Following on from the Fiesta Firefly and Supersport versions announced earlier in the year, the Ford Fiesta Festival was the third in the 1980 line of Fiesta special editions, going on sale on the 19th of September.
Developed from the Fiesta base model, the Festival came with a choice of 950 cc engine in either high or low-compression form, or the 1117 cc engine. Standard equipment included a passenger door mirror, electric screenwash, intermittent windscreen wipers, a tailgate wash/ wipe, five-position reclining seats with fabric trim, bright wheel bolts and rim-embellishers and black rocker panels. Each car bears a special interior and exterior Festival badge and striping. The Festival had its own special option pack which could be specified by the buyer. This consisted of a rear parcel shelf, head-restraints and a MW/LW push-button radio.
