Ford Fiesta Finesse (1983)
The Mk1 Ford Fiesta Finesse was a special edition model released in April 1983. 12000 vehicles were produced which is the largest quantity of any of the Mk1 limited run models.
Internal equipment included a 4 spoke steering wheel, Truro trim, A-frame front head restraints, door bins and Ghia-type door trims. Also fitted as standard was a quartz clock, rear coat hooks and front grab handles, cigar lighter and colour keyed fabric.
The Mark 1 Finesse came with a choice of four transverse mounted engines, 950cc units producing 40 or 45bhp respectively, a 1.1 ‘Economy’ engine, or a 66bhp 1.3 version giving the most power.
Externally, the Fiesta Finesse was decorated with distinctive wide side striping, a tailgate finesse vinyl decal, and black centre caps fitted to the 13” steel wheels.
A glass sunroof which could be tilted or removed was fitted as standard, along with a heated rear screen with wash and wipe.
An optional extra pack was available for the Finesse which included driving lamps, front and rear overridders and wheel trim rings.
