Mk2 Ford Fiesta Popular Van Model Info
The Fiesta van was introduced as the baby of Ford's 1980's light commercial range, designed as a compact solution for delivering goods in busy towns and city traffic. The Fiesta van came with three engine choices, 4 speed 950cc and 1100cc petrol or a 5 speed 1600cc diesel version, all offering a 300kg payload.
The van bodyshells are extremely similar to the car version, with pressed steel panels replacing the rear windows and removable sections making up a flat rear load space in place of the rear seat, these sections are then topped with a durable rubber mat. A full load bulkhead was also available as an option on both the Popular and L models
The Popular was the more basic of two models offered, with even the heated rear windows and rear wiper being optional extras.
